Snow Patrol 7 votes Leona Lewis 9 votes Thank you to everyone for voting, and leaving a comment. Our next battle will be Friday, May 1st. Hope you can make it back (smile). Thank you to our music blog hosts: Far away eyes
If you would like to participate in this music blog event, click on the link for Stephen T. McCarthy. Leave him a message and your blog address, in the comment box. That's all folks! Let's hear the winner one more time:
Helck! You had me fooled! I was sure you would be voting for Snow Patrol.
I actually liked the Snow Patrol version better but I voted for Leona Lewis ONLY because Arlee Bird voted for Snow Patrol.
As Arlee knows, 19 out of 20 times, I sacrifice my BOTB votes SOLELY to oppose his own votes. That's because I'm a "contrarian" by nature.
However, one out of every twenty times I vote the same way Arlee does just so it doesn't seem TOO OBVIOUS that my votes are artificial and are deliberate attempts to undermine HIS votes. (...Oops! I fear I've said too much and have let the cat['s nine lives] out of the bag.)
So, what you're basically saying is that you really preferred Snow Patrol. Thank you for the admission. I'll change your vote.
Meanwhile, please be advised that my battles are not meant to be personal battles between BOTB participants. Or at the very least, keep it to yourselves.
I just said that because apparently Lee suspects that I deliberately vote opposite him all the time. It's not true of course (I always submit a 100% honest vote), and it's not my fault if Lee can't ever seem to agree with me. (Well, actually, he does agree with me... about one in every twenty BOTB votes. Ha!)

Sorry, Dixie! I needed to remove my previous comment because I was sleepy and thought I was on Stephen's blog! :) It's interesting how you can believe at the outset that one act will be the heavy favorite in a BOTB and then, at the last minute, the race becomes almost a dead heat. I thoroughly enjoyed these two acts and look forward to your next BOTB contest.
Kathleen Mae Schneider and her mother Margaret loved your comment on my blog and Kathleen has written a reply for you. I hope you get a chance to read it. Have a wonderful day, dear Dixie!
LEE McBUDDY ~ I'm just waiting for that day when someone (either you or another BOTBer) uses a song that I KNOW for sure you are absolutely crazy about, and then... I'm gonna jump on it - I'm gonna vote boldly for it (even putting my vote in bold) just so you... can't vote for the song ya love.
Hiya Fae/Jessica Rabbit babe! I'll be as brief as.... okay when you want to vote against whichever artist Arlee is voting for, in one of my BOTB posts, just place an "A" in the comment box. This saves lots of time, and keeps me from changing out results day posts.
A certain Mr. Lounge Lizard made the erroneous mistake of giving away his secret to successful challenging. He accidentally confessed to voting for one he (really) did not prefer... leaving poor humble blog owner in limbo. What to do? The new results reflected Mr. L.L.'s status, when he really wanted it kept secret. Oh nos! Poor said little blog owner changed everything back, but got the vote count switched. (oops, and damn)... thus prompting a third results day post. (Geez, I hope your got all of this.) So in order to avoid future uprisings and multi-postings... see paragraph one above. Thanks... and yes, you're crazy. We all are.

Mine was a genuine vote for Leona Lewis.

No problem.
I'm going to start watching which way both Lee and Stephen vote...
ReplyDeleteYeah really.

ReplyDeleteIt's a tie.

No problem..
DeletePhew! I'm glad that STMcC didn't really change his vote to Snow Patrol because then I would have had to change mine to Leona.
ReplyDeleteStill I'm surprised that Snow Patrol didn't win. They should have won just on the basis of their band name.

DeleteYou and me too, Lee/
DeleteCount me in. I don't get it either, even if I seem to have a role in the production.

Let's blame McCarthy then. There should always be a scapegoat.

Production? Hey you orchestrated this extravaganza, me thinks.
DeleteHang tight, Lee, I suspect he's got a goat in his back yard!
DeleteAre you guys all crazy, or is it me? Don't blame me I'm not bad...I'm just drawn that way!
ReplyDeleteI'm as normal as anyone can be.
