I don't think I've made any promises on here... but I did say I'd return on the 7th with results for this battle. What was that endearing promise? When In Rome sang, "But if you wait around a while, I'll make you fall for me... I promise, I promise you I will... I will... I will."(snicker-snort).

Yes, wait around a while... that always worked... and it seems to have worked by the video's ending. But we weren't judging videos. It became the English wave versus the American wave... I tried so hard to find a video showing New Found Glory's take on this. I promise you - this was  a spoof... and yet - for me, a lovable spoof. I tend to think most punk rock is a spoof... but I've been wrong before. (Once in Cincinnati.)

I remember being concerned when the English sound machines came out and presumed to replace real things, like pianos, organs, guitars, drums... liked disco, only hungover. (And I enjoyed some disco. I certainly loved to dance! Still do.) But all the machine guys needed was a person who could sing. Think :  Rick Astley: Never Gonna Give you up  .

Then, of course someone reminded us of that sweet Breakfast Club: "Don't You Forget About Me", which smashed my hopes and dreams of the promise of getting a happy spoof award for New Found Glory!

Alright, alright... the results... (and if you wait around a while)... I promise you...
(Would someone please turn on the sound machine and create a drumroll?)
~ pfffffttttffffffttttt, thanks.
