It's definitely Red Rocks. Each year we both can hardly wait for spring to come, because it means concert season at Red Rocks. In terms of acoustics, ambiance, and even beauty, there's just nothing like it. I'd even put up with listening to John Tesh if it meant getting to spend a night there.
Awesome venue. I spent a summer in CO (poor college student), but I wish I'd mustered the funds for a concert there. That would've been a great memory!
FAE, I told you she could really paint! The one she displayed before (for about 8.5 hours) of the circle of trees and the sky above was incredible!
DIXIE POLKA: 'Fields Of Gold' - I've heard that tune a godzillion times but never knew the title. I like it. Why is everyone down on it? I mean, it's closer to Kenny G than it is to Dave Brubeck, but it's still a lovely melody with some nice, mellow playing.
We want more paintings displayed! How many times I gotta make that request? Don't make me send Boris and Natasha over there!
~ D-fensDogG, I'm thinking they might be 'down' on John Tesh, and not the song. I think Tesh is akin to modern Christian music, whatever that means... he's got a couple of songs I really like... this being one. Glad you liked it. I'm not a Kenny G. fan... but I do like this guy's way with it.
I'm working on a big project right now. Client sent me a huge plaque molded in resin to paint birds. An example of what I'm talking about is displayed on my main blog today. I hope to finish before this weekend and post it.
Thanks for not sending Boris and Natasha... even if those two are for the birds! Ha!
Are you the painter of the wonderful pictures at the top?
I'm gearing up for the BOTB. To prepare, I'm not looking at anyone else's post from the past lest I accidentally choose something someone else did, ha ha.

ReplyDeleteHa ha ha, John Tesh? Me too.
DeleteI've always wanted to attend a concert there. I've been there to walk around but during the day. Good song- even with John Tesh.
ReplyDeleteI agree!!
DeleteRed Rocks is such a cool venue.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see it !

ReplyDeleteI bet it do costs!!!
DeleteRed Rocks in Morrison, CO - best concert venue ever, IMO.
ReplyDeleteBUT speaking of 'BEST'...is that some of YOUR artwork in the first photo. It is fantastic. That picture to the right takes my breath away!

Fae, that was goofing off with some new paint applicators my god-daughter brought me to try.
DeleteMeanwhile, I remember a video that Kim displayed showing Red Rocks, and you'd said you'd been there for a concert!! That would be so fantastic!!

That was BEAUTIFUL. I was of course referring more to the piano player's fringe.
ReplyDeleteI got that, Michael!!

Can't wait!
Most of those paintings are goof offs, trying different paint brushes, lots of silliness.
DeleteYOU joined BOTB??? Where have I been? OMG, this is getting SO HOT!!!
Can't wait, either, (smile). Break a leg!
Bell of Peace, thank you for visiting. I enjoyed your post on 'healing anger.'
